This is our new “child” named Barnabas. His story started almost a year ago when my coworker, Nikki, told me she was expecting her second child. I told her that Jeffrey really wanted someone to name her child Barnabas. I thought we were making progress when she almost told her doctor that her baby’s name was Barnabas. We even printed out the information on how Barnabas was an important person, spreading the gospel of Jesus, as one of their shower gifts. Even though I guessed the day when their son was born, I was told I couldn’t have the name too.

So my mom thought it would be fun to get us our own Barnabas. He was specially chosen and got his tag to complete his presentation on Christmas morning. He even got to meet several of her friends before coming to Colorado. He’s already had time with his new family and spent a day at work with me. We may have to start the “Barnabas Adventures” to show what he’s been up to. I think our Barnabas can help inspire me to continue to share my thoughts on God, like his namesake did.
