Hello world of blogging! This is my first entry (of many I hope) to share my ordinary thoughts that become extraordinary with God’s help. I have enjoyed posting pictures with thoughts based on the Bible, but this gives me more room to expand on each one.

So these are our two dogs, Shadow (all black) and Pasha (black and brown) while they were waiting one day for my husband to get home. Even though the gate is open and they could run down the street, they stayed inside the gate. (Not saying they haven’t gone down the street before.) I decided to take this picture because it made me think of when we are given opportunities to do something out of the ordinary (or “extra” ordinary) and we choose not to.

I have thought about writing for a long time, but have made excuses or been “too busy”. Why now? The question should be: why not now? Lately I’ve had more prompting by fellow church friends to do this. And our sermon today was about doing the will of God and not just wishful thinking. I do believe that one of the things I have been called to do is some sort of writing. I think I was trying to figure out the whole plan of what this would look like or going to be, instead of just getting started and letting things develop as they are supposed to.

Jesus said the “truth will set you free”(John 8:32), but what do you do with the freedom you have been given?
